Casa Familia - Match your 2019 gift

The Abram & Ray Kaplan Foundation has generously issued a $50,000 matching gift challenge for Casa Familia, our emergency shelter for single women and families with children.

The foundation will match any donation to our Casa Familia program until December 31, 2019 up to $50,000. Casa Familia shelters nearly 350 women and children and every year on a $400,000 annual budget, so if this goal is matched it will cover 25 percent of our Casa Familia annual operating costs.

The Casa Familia 50K Match is going strong thanks to all that donated during the special appeal at the 7th Annual Hungry Mouth Festival. We are close to completing one-third of this generous donor's challenge with about $35K left to match. This is the perfect way to effectively double your contribution from now until year's end.

Last year Casa Familia housed 69% of our clients in the program, and all of our programs combined for a 63% housing rate. More than half of our clients that are experiencing homelessness are placed in housing! This success cannot be accomplished without your support and is why your gift means so much.
