Santa Fe Dining Corporate Chef
CHEF MATT YOHALEM has run one of the top restaurants in Santa Fe for the last 25 years: il Piatto Italian Farmhouse Kitchen. He and his restaurant won the Edible Hero Award for Best Chef and Best Restaurant 2013 and 2016. He was a pioneer in the Farm to Table movement, starting Du Marche’ in New York’s Lower Eastside in 1993, and received a Life-Time Achievement All Star Award from the Santa Fe Farmers Market Institute in 2018. During that time he opened and ran the venerable Bistro 315, receiving James Beard nominations and Esquire Best New Restaurants accolades, opened Belle Forche’ Criolle Restaurant and Bar in New Orleans, and expanded both Santa Fe operations. He has appeared in numerous publications, local TV and radio stations and served on the Board of Directors of Santa Fe’s restaurant organizations.
