The Resource Center provides free meals, showers, laundry, clothes, food and personal-hygiene supplies to the chronic or street homeless. It is open twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays from 10 am to 1 pm, at the Emergency Shelter. On an average day, nearly 100 people come to take advantage of these services, and shelter staff uses this opportunity to reach out, make first contact and begin earning the trust of this underserved group. Many who want to change their situation eventually end up working with our staff to begin reintegrating into mainstream society. Legal services are also available.
